Hair & Makeup Guidelines for High School Musical

Please refer to the information below to plan your hair and makeup for HSM performances. If you need to purchase makeup, we recommend Target or CVS for inexpensive options. Please do not share makeup with fellow cast members, especially eye products. This is how infections spread!

Additionally, please be aware that there are limited outlets in the dressing rooms. We encourage all hair curling or straightening to be done at home prior to arriving at call time.

All Male Roles

Makeup

*Foundation (close to your skin color)

*Brown eyeliner (if you aren’t sure how to apply it, please consult a fellow cast member or one of the high school students who will be present to help you)

Hair

*Jocks & coach – Your natural hair is fine

* Thespian & brain ensembles – slicked back or parted with gel

* Ryan – can you do some blonde streaks? highlights? frosted tips?
